Press Release - The Almighty Johnsons

Description Download the official app for the New Zealand TV series that’s fast becoming an international sensation.
This digital companion opens a whole new dimension to each episode of the show.
THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS is a comedy-drama series about four brothers who just happen to be descended from Norse Gods. The Johnsons are typical guys who don’t much like to stand out from the crowd – but it’s not easy to stay out of trouble when you’re a god walking amongst men.
This season, the Johnsons continue their quest to find the human incarnation of Frigg and thereby fulfill the destiny of their youngest brother Axl. Finding the woman of your dreams is hard enough at the best of times and to complicate matters, Ragnarok is coming…
The series stars Tim Balme (Peter Jacksons's 'Braindead', Outrageous Fortune), Dean O'Gorman (Fili the Dwarf in 'The Hobbit' trilogy), Jared Turner (Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), Ben Barrington (Top of the Lake, The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), and newcomer Emmett Skilton as Axl Johnson.
In the app fans can enter the god-o-sphere of the Johnson family and learn more about them and their friends; Norse gods, goddesses and lore and key locations. There’s lots of behind the scenes chatter and interviews with cast members, and heaps of extra content to download.
In this clever New Zealand show you can also test your knowledge of “kiwi-isms” with the Kiwi lingo guide.
THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS app is a BeyondTheStory® +Book adaptation in conjunction with South Pacific Pictures Ltd. This app requires an iPad 2 or greater.
